Do it for Jon.

The proceeds from this donation drive are going to the Elite’s spiritual leader, our very own Ngamer…. Previous donations I have been put toward hosting fees, with a few bonuses going out to the big contributers, but this time I’m forwarding the money to a man who has truly earned it.

Right now 3 donations have been made. If you have questions about donations, ask me or Jon and we’ll clarify. All donaters’ names will be immortalized on the donate tribute page (though you can request to be anonymous.)

Please show your appreciation for Jon, because without his tireless contributions to this community, I can honestly say this site would be a ghost town. And don’t forget you’re getting a personalized CD from Jon himself when you donate! With a lock of hair! I know, because I received one! Yes! It was sorta weird, but still mostly novel! Who knows what he spent on shipping on all the prizes he just handed out, and he’s getting ready to ship off a bunch more.

So click the button below. Borrow your mom’s card if you need to, it’ll take one minute. Our beloved Ngamer deserves it. Right?

The Spirit of Giving

My goodness… between the All-Time Awards, the Hall of Fame, Christmas prize mailings, the No Sleepathon, AIM Survivor, and the GEWR update, this was easily the most hectic end of year wrapup/new year celebration the Elite has ever seen! Clearly, during the last month Come and myself have been working under the impression that ’tis better to give than to receive. A nice sentiment, but let’s be honest… who doesn’t like to receive, as well?

Fortunately, Eliters will be able to get the best of both worlds in the coming month. Between now and the second week in February, all $5 donations to will receive a History of the Elite CD! If you’ve forgotten what exactly this CD entails, a click here should refresh your memory. Full details on the offer can be found in its General Board topic, but suffice it to say that each contribution will be doubly rewarding, as you will be helping Clark to keep the site online for years to come, as well as helping to preserve years of Elite History on your own hard drive. The easiest way to donate is through PayPal, so if you would like to open your heart, just give us a click.

The History of the Elite
Preserve Our Past. Provide Our Future.

Breakin’ on Through

…to the next year of updating! I’ve been a slave to my keyboard and Notepad this weekend updating all these glorious pages for you folks. Be sure to check them out. First off, GEWR has been fully updated after a 5 month dormant period. The 2005 Player of the Year has been chosen, along with all the other awards and some long writeups about stuff and things. And 80s power metal ballad references!

I also got the GE Country Elite updated and added some of the new people who I recognized and knew their details. Shoot an email my way if you aren’t on there, and be sure to include your Country/Times page/Rankings color to make it easy on me.

Dark LTK ranks are fully updated, after some activity from Garrett Sellati, Ryan White, Alex Anderson, Brandon Sanford, and champion Ilari Pekkala. Brandon and Ilari have gotten some really nice times, especially on Frigate, so be sure to check those out.

Also updated were GE LTK and GE Turbo, though there wasn’t very much activity this time around. Go play these modes more, or something.

And finally, the GE Fastest Movies page is all up to date, though now we don’t have all 60 WRs proven, but Karl’s new Train A 1:06, and Ryan’s Surface 2 A 0:51 are both very nice watches, along with Wouter’s new Frigate vids.

New and Exciting!

That’s right Elite, we’re back with more new and exciting things, just for you.

The All Time Elite Awards came to a close just last night, and the winners can be found here. Congratulations to all winners, and to thanks to those who participated! Stay tuned for Neo to post prediction contest results in Gen Chat any day now!

Along with the ATA, our committee got together to decide on a long-awaited, highly avoided project: The Elite Hall of Fame. This idea has been going around for a couple of years now, and has finally come to fruition here to start off 2006. If you didn’t quite notice yet, the 10 days of blurry pictures that we have had on the front page were the first class of inductees into this prestigious hall. Check out the topic in Gen Chat for more information, and be sure to visit the NEW and EXCITING Hall of Fame Forum for general HoF discussion, bio contributions, and perhaps even predictions as to who will make up the Class of 2007.

In other news, GE has seen a strong few weeks, with many great new WRs tied and untied, largely on the shoulders of new players Ryan White and Michael Kirkness. This Canadian duo has taken the ranks by storm, pumping out WRs in Boss-like fashion over the past month. There WILL be a GEWR update coming soon, including full award updates and the choosing of the 2005 Player of the Year. Expect other GE pages to be updated around then too, including Fastest Vids and Dark LTK ranks.

Enjoy our New Years presents to you, Elite, and may 2006 bring you more WRs and fewer broken controllers!
