Oh god

One hour after my last post, David got CI Agent 0:49. I guess that’s where the time should be with the new strat!

New CI strat!!

If you have been following the boards recently, you probably noticed that there’s a new strat on Carrington Institute, that involves warping through the lift glass upstairs. David Clemens and Bryan Bosshardt quickly got new WRs with it. Both got 51, and Bryan got 50 right after. While Bryan’s video isn’t up yet, check out David Clemens – CI A 0:51, where he uses the brand new strat.

The President turned down your request for the loan of the Pelagic II? Could it be your speedrun skills are lacking?

That’s probably it, ’cause there’s already three people taking it to that level! The last 12 world records in the PD WR topic:

Bryan Bosshardt: Pelagic II Special Agent 1:43
Bryan Bosshardt: Pelagic II Agent 0:49
Bryan Bosshardt: Pelagic II Agent 0:48
David Clemens: Pelagic II Agent 0:48
Bryan Bosshardt: Pelagic II Agent 0:47
David Clemens: Pelagic II Agent 0:47
Bryan Bosshardt: Pelagic II Perfect Agent 1:59
Bryan Bosshardt: Pelagic II Perfect Agent 1:58
David Clemens: Pelagic II Special Agent 1:43
Takahiro Arai: Pelagic II Special Agent 1:43
Bryan Bosshardt: Pelagic II Special Agent 1:42
David Clemens: Pelagic II Special Agent 1:42

As you can see here, Boss has made a bit of a comeback, setting four untieds on this level! Three of these were promptly tied by David, but PA 1:58 remains untouched. We’ll have to wait and see what else these guys can do; till then, enjoy the Pelagic II action!

Check out these two new multiplayer videos released these days by Eise Smith and Greg Woll, respectively:

2009 Michigan Meet Multiplayer Montage
Goldeneye Multiplayer Compilation

The first one is a compilation of Eise’s best kills playing with many swedish players (including our fellow Illu). And the second one is the compilation of all the games that took place on the last Michigan Metting. For more information, check our boards!

Old News.

Let me take a moment to thank Elite veteran Silent Thunder for giving us some good man hours in preparing old GreyMatter blog posts for import into the new blog. Now our news, dating back to 2002, is preserved with original authors. Yay. Big up to ST.

Classic Elite Photos

So Jimbo has been talking about presenting some sort of gallery of insane pics from the Elite. I am interested in the idea, so I posted some community-related pictures I’ve been whoarding over the years that I think are novel. You can see them here:
http://www.the-elite.net/—/classic/ (download the zip if you don’t want to go one by one. it contains a terrible trojan though.)

Please share some of your favorites and I’ll add them to the collection. We’ll figure out something interesting to do with them.

Goldeneye multiplayer action

Check out some Goldeneye multiplayer videos by Eddie Lovins and Greg Woll – playing 1v1 and 2v2 against what seemed like “some noob friends” of Lovins. Click here and take a look at the videos posted on that topic!

By the way, if you have any video of you playing with your noob friends (haha), send them along! Just log in on the boards and create a new topic, or just reply to any Videos topic created. We’ll be pleased to see how good (or bad) you are!

Bryan Bosshardt strikes back!

The WR on Pelagic Agent was 0:49 a few days ago. When David Clemens and Bryan Bosshardt, two of our greatest players, gathered to play some PD, what happened was a 0:48, which both of them got preety fast, followed by a sweet untied of 0:47 by Bryan, who was, by the way, inactive for quite some time. What a come back!

While we haven’t Bryan’s 0:47 video available yet, check out David Clemens’ Pelagic Agent 0:48 (music). Congrats to both players! If you want to catch up the new videos as soon as they come up, check out the videos topic on the boards – there are some sweet stuff from many different players going on!
