Every poker player knows, every non-poker player does not. It doesn’t matter anyway, since both groups have no clue what I’m talking about. Recent events have shaken up The Elite and we all know it: Rayan Isran. Goodspeedruntrainer posted his Duel Agent 0:03 on 5 december 2007. Two weeks later Perfect Ace made quads post #2222, however… it didn’t end there! Everyone who was online and checking the boards at that time were freaking out, the posts kept on coming and coming. Ace eventually made 24 posts in a row, all World Records, it cost him 41 minutes to post them all. Ace received his PD NTSC on the 2nd of December, a gift from Red Bull and Carathorn, and steadily managed to get 1 or 2 WRs a day. He managed to tie 12 WRs and untie 8 of them. With this achievement he climbed to #1 and is now the new Perfect Dark World Champion. After 854 days, the longest reign in history, Bryan Bosshardt has been dethroned, and has to surrender to the best player in the world. The update shocked us all: he has now almost a minute lead on #2 Big Bossman. Apart from all this fun, a lot of people have seen their world records being crushed, damaged, shattered, destroyed. Mystery Man’s entire G5 sweep has been taken over, JugadorJ3’s only untied (Infiltration SA 1:31) has been tied, and Greg K’s AF1 SA 1:20 has been tied. Now let’s look more closely to the most amazing untied WRs achieved by Ace. Extraction PA has been lowered from 1:35 to 1:32, quite amazing! Then we have his untied G5 sweep, where he lowered an already insane SA time from 0:45 to just 0:42. Maian SOS PA been lowered by 2 seconds to 2:04 from his 2:06, improved his own untied here! All combined, this unleash lowered the PD total time 13 seconds, from 1:34:33 to 1:34:20; when will the next minute barrier fall? Predictions? And just when we thought all was over, Ace managed to surprise us even more, with far the best WR from the whole above list he posted: Villa Agent 1:06, which was theoretically possible, but humanly considered impossible. Do not underestimate the power of Ace. The Elite has learned an important lesson: Everything is still possible. And another thing. After people saw the unleash, all were surprised, but an even more important thing: people seem to have the spirit to play PD again, as can be seen by the PRs posted the day after.
