Crazy Activity!

March 13th, 2007 at 10:44pm by Your Eliteness

The front page of this site may seem completely dead, but once you click that magical link on the left (titled “The Elite Boards”) you’ll see we’re far from it. In fact, the activity in GoldenEye is so crazy that 72 world records have been posted since the beginning of this year. That’s a rate of exactly one new record per day. There have been over 500 comments posted in WR discussion in just 20 days – that’s an average of 25 comments per day.

With plenty of world records being posted, plenty of incredible untieds are also being achieved. For example, Ryan White’s Silo SA 1:10 and Rayan Isran’s godlike Train sweep (1:01, 1:26 and 1:52). We’ve also had multiple players tie great records such as Bunker 1 0:17 and Runway A 0:22 (times that were almost unbelievable when first accomplished). Perfect Dark isn’t dead either, with jaws dropping when Villa A 1:07 was announced by myself earlier this year.

It’s great to know that people are still playing these games almost 10 years after their release date and still busting out untied records all over the place. Keep it up, Elite!

yeah way to give yourself props on a world record, YE!

  • Greg has slipped from the #1 position on Google’s search for the elite. We must make more pages linking to the main page. :) is the home of the world's fastest GoldenEye and Perfect Dark speedruns.

This website is a collaborative non-profit project that's spanned nearly 15 years with voluntary contributions from many individuals. Thank you to everyone that's helped.
