Virginia, KOTH, NFL Season, etc!
Well it’s been a while since our last update, so I’ll do my best to elaborate everyone on what’s been happening lately!
The international elite meet, affectionately known as the “VA meet” or “Virginia meet” wrapped up in mid August, rounding out the 4th consecutive year of successful game tournaments, physical competitions, social interaction, and everything else that makes this meet so special. The winners of the notable events were…
Goldeneye: Eddie Lovins (defeating Greg Woll)
Mario Kart 64: Trent Hovis (defeating Jim Barrett, Eddie Lovins, and Brent Wingert)
Poker: Patrik Nilsson
Ping Pong: Drew “Duff” Blumfeld (back to back!)
Trent’s run to the Mario Kart 64 title was a big upset according to most scouts there, and I go into great detail as to what happened in Trent’s wiki profile. Eddie’s run to the Goldeneye title was an exciting one as well, more info also provided in his wiki page.
The entire recap topic can be found here: – with links to photos, videos, and even more videos, along with reactions, found later on in the topic.
It is an elite tradition, dating back many years, that we do our nightly King of the Hill in the elite AIM chatroom. Join us every single night at 11 PM EST to participate!
Make sure to check General Chat for the NFL topic and post your thoughts and opinions on upcoming games and post your picks! It’s the best time of the year, and make sure to enjoy it to the fullest!
In gaming news: Red Bull‘s longstanding Deep Sea World Records are no more, as Cedric has played extensively to lower the records to 2:27, 2:57, and 3:07 respectively! Huge props to Cedric for such a feat!
