EEKgads | 4.01.03 | 8:01.10 PM EST | Bryan I just got home from my busy school day about an hour ago at 7 o clock EST, and boy are things f*cked up... it seems that this cgi news update program hasn't been hacked (yet), probably because when i set up the program i basically triple encrypted it, so thank goodness we've still got a line of communication open to the eliters out there. OR he just wanted us to still have access to this news update, i'll cover exactly why that is later. we've got to hang in there as a community and hopefully we can settle things down. since i've been online, i've been working closely with Derek and Ngamer to try to resolve things. Here's the scenario. A few weeks ago i had gotten the bright idea of uploading the updating program to our site's server because it would cut out a few steps in the weekly updates for my part. it was working great and making updating easier. unfortunately, it was also sitting in our server when this hacker apparently hacked our password and server protocols, and gained access to every thing we have. he has since changed the passwords and protocols, disabling us to do ANYTHING about it, and surely he has messed around with the updating program... it's a very sticky situation and there's not much we can do technologically at this standpoint. he's got us beat, and it's unlikely any group of law enforcement would bother doing anything about this hacker on our little corner of the internet. after i finally got around to checking my email (the last thing i thought of), i had received a demand-filled email from t3hl33thax0r or whatever the heck this very confused, low-life individual goes by. 1 VV0n7 g1v3 u ure s11t b4kc unl35$: (youse: i'm going to try to "translate" his jibberish and numbers into sentences) 1st, at least twenty players must email me and beg me cry (or... mercy?? --his email is t3hl337h4x0r@hotmail.com) 2nd, i am added - no compromise (this word was badly misspelled). 3rd, move your gay bored(board?) from EX to ICNO(unsure what this means) 4th, anyone whose times are real get added even if anonymous (don't understand this one either) 5th, lookdown be banned from goldeneye 6th, CS gets a Elite 7th, a frich (french?) speaking only forum gets created 8th, everyone who has been around in general chat gets to be a mod, not just 3/4 of them 9th, everyones names link directly to their pages on all the elites 10th, persons opinions should mean something, BEFORE it's validated by snapdragon last, everyone watch my vids, pron worked hard on ... seems like a lot to ask for, but maybe if we just email him and beg and plead his ego trip will be fulfilled and he will relent power back to us. i mean, right now, WE ARE at his mercy. it's up to us to save ourselves. please email him, even if we're not willing to comply with his other (BS) demands. if it really is tyler probert, samsim, or neo, please, the joke's over, you've scared us long enough. his vids are here http://216.132.153.34/BRECK/PD/haxor/ ::
Statuesque n00b! | 3.30.03 | 8:42.50 PM EST | Derek Well, the impossible has happened once again. We have a new strat in GE and the perpetrator is not who you might've expected. GoldenEye up-and-comer Trent Hovis has discovered a new strat on Statue, using Bosshardt's 'stunning tactic' to enhance the previous strat. The strat is simple: as you wait at the Statue, fire a shot the moment you see Trev and quickly disarm. If you strike him on a limb, he'll hesitate to recover from the pain, then start his address several seconds ahead of schedule! Trent released his times of 2:25-2:26-2:27 at the time of the strat's revelation, giving him an untied record that is well deserved. Well... was well deserved. Peter Osterland was quick to get involved, most notably achieving a 2:24 on SA. But it took only 8 hours for Bryan Bosshardt to read about the strat, learn it, and then sweep Statue one more time. The times? 2:23-2:22-2:23. It seems 2:22 is the new 2:26, but speculation of 2:21 and even 2:20 have appeared on the boards. Don't forget, there still is Wouter, dwelling amidst the rolling hills of Holland, deeply engaged in the alchemy of transforming absurd predictions into absurd world records. Once more, the GoldenEye community collectively holds their breath. ::
