GoldenEye 007 and Perfect Dark for N64: World Rankings, Speed Runs, Record Videos

For your amusement

I just finished a Web page documenting my Spring Break trip (with 6 other USF guys). We spent 3 insane days in Key West, and got plenty of pictures to prove it. The pictures are pretty funny on their own, but I added some flava with some captions, so check it out and I’m pretty sure you’ll laugh.

Special thanks to Jon for setting me up with some temporary hosting on his new server! <3

Nationwide Halo Tournament

Hey guys, I just wanted to pass along news from the Video Gamers League, regarding the latest big tourney. As of Monday, registration is now open for the VGL’s nationwide Halo tournament. This thing is no joke; there will be qualifiers in 28 different major metropolitan areas, leading up to a National Championship boasting a $150,000 purse (total combined pay-out). I know we got some Halo players out there, so follow one of these links over there and read a little more, and uh… perhaps stop bragging about your leet skills if you’re not willing to get involved in this thing.

And thanks go out to Jeff Gross (president) and his team for organizing this, as well as Scion for providing the financial backing to make this possible. Now show up to these qualifiers and represent us well!

We have just been Server0wned!

Last night my “8 Phases of Goatse” page absorbed about ten thousand hits in a span of a few hours (from an unknown source). About of 98% of our allotted monthly bandwidth has been consumed. It’s March 9th….

I will be incurring a service charge in choosing to keep the site up for you guys. Any donations are warmly welcomed. The site may go down anyway (for a few days) in the event we hit a secondary bandwidth restriction before month’s end. There’s a pretty good chance this will happen, I regret to report.

In the meantime, we’ve made the necessary changes to assure that we won’t see a repeat of this. Again, my apologies. Blame Google for jacking the Phases page into their top 10 search results for “goatse” recently.

We have just been Cervowned!

We have a elitist in town, who just climbed the GE podium of fame and knocked off Jim Barrett. The bronze medal has been obtained by none other than Dan Cervone. Dan just finished a four-month-whoard, published his times on the boards and jumped 6 (!) places on the latest rankings update. The records include three Word Records, being Surface 1 SA/00a 1:50 and Aztec SA 1:45. Dan ties three former untied records here and consolidates his third place regarding the record leaders. Compliments go out to Dan for his progression. It is interesting to see how Jim and Trent Hovis (just completed his first 300 point stage!) will respond to Dan’s impressive rise.

Speaking of interesting, there has been a great amount of activity in the top 25 of GE lately. Out of our top 25 players, 12 gamers have been pretty active the past weeks. Even the iron man aka the man who possesses his own factory aka the living legend aka Greg Woll has pulled off some records lately!

Everyone, keep up the good work, and besides your daily green veggies, I advice you to eat at least 2 ounches of fruit every day!
