The unthinkable has happened. Again.
In 2002, we were sure we had the best strats possible down. Then Bryan Bosshardt came along and changed Aztec forever.
In 2003, we were sure again. Nothing else to find, right? Trent Hovis came along and Statue has never been the same since.
For nearly 3 years, we’ve been fine-tuning. Perfecting times. Finding little things to save tenths of a second. The feeling that something big was going to happen has been brewing for awhile, and it just did.
Henrik Norgren has re-invented how Train SA and 00A will be played, and has forever secured his spot in Goldeneye history. This new strat has already knocked 17 seconds off the total time, and will surely lead to more as it’s perfected and overplayed like everything else. The ideas have been out there for awhile, but Henrik was the first to finally put the puzzle together and be successful. The records now stand at 1:31 and 2:04, and are agreed to be far from maxed. The strategy given in the topic, paired with the SA vid will easily explain this new strat, so be sure to check those out.
The SA total time is now under 26:00, 00A is edging on 30:00, and we can realistically see the 1:16:00 total time mark being broken.
This is what The Elite is all about. Innovation, Imagination, Determination. Congrats to Henrik and those before him who have taken Goldeneye to the extreme.
